Scheidt & Bachmann had a requirement for a robust and accessible infrastructure that would allow their group of field engineers to access all IT systems whilst on the road. Implementing a unified communications solution, engineers in the field can work as if at a HQ desk. As a new company, Scheidt & Bachmann also needed a trusted IT advisor to ensure their IT decisions enabled them to meet the strategic direction of their growing company.
Solution Implemented
- Enterprise Solutions installed a Microsoft & HP server infrastructure. It comprised of;
- HP ML 370 Reliant Server
- Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2008
- SonicWall TZ180 with VPN connectivity
- Vega 50 PBX system

In 2008 Nuparc transitioned from their parent company into a separate entity. As a result they had no IT help-desk for their 90 staff across 4 locations in the UK and Ireland. Since they had no dedicated IT resource they needed an IT company that could look after their total IT requirements and also provide helpdesk services. They chose Enterprise Solutions to provide this.
Client Requirement
- Due to the diverse geographical nature of their business, Nuparc required an infrastructure that was centralised, simple, highly available, and adaptive to the changing business requirements of this growing company.
- Implementing a hosted server based computing environment, Enterprise Solutions were able to provide Nuparc with a solution that provided line of business applications to all sites on thin client terminals ensuring little or no administration at the remote site, with all critical services being housed in a fully redundant data centre in Dublin. All major network and server components were designed such that there was no single point of failure ensuring maximum uptime for the client on critical IT services.
- Enterprise Solutions also engaged with third party vendors to ensure critical applications were always avail-able and at the required editions.
Solution Implemented
Enterprise Solutions installed a Microsoft, Citrix & HP server infrastructure. It comprised of;
- 8 x DL380 G5 Severs
- Citrix Presentation Server 4.0
- HP thin clients
- Cisco and SonicWall network appliances
- Fault tolerance and redundant solutions for all critical IT services
